What is an electronic invoice (PDF/A-3)?
A compliant electronic invoice is a PDF file enriched with a structured XML file compliant with the European standard EN 16931. This hybrid format allows both human reading (the PDF) and automated processing by accounting software (the XML).
In France, electronic invoicing will become mandatory for all B2B transactions from 2026. Our tool generates invoices at the MINIMUM profile — the compliance level required for transmission via partner dematerialisation platforms (PDP).
The PDF/A-3 format guarantees long-term archiving of the document. The embedded XML contains all structured tax data: issuer, client, invoice number, pre-tax/VAT/total amounts and due date.
